Damon had an uneventful annual well-child checkup yesterday. Here are his current stats:

Weight – 75.4 pounds, an increase of 10.2 pounds since last year (15th percentile). I’m now questioning this figure because I find it hard to believe that he weighs 10 pounds more than last year!
Height – 55 inches, an increase of 2 inches since last year (7th percentile)

The important thing is that Damon is following the growth curve in all areas!

His resting heart rate was around 50 bpm. The nurse commented that this figure shows what a strong and healthy athlete he is.

We talked a lot about what kind of foods Damon should eat as an athlete. Luckily he loves meat and carbs which are all great for his active lifestyle. I just wanted him to hear from someone else about how important it is to eat some of the things Chris and I have been trying to push on him! Today the nurse told us to keep trying new foods because kids sometimes need to try foods up to 20 times before they decide whether they truly like or dislike the food. So we won’t give up on the fresh fruits and veggies!
