The basement floor is done! Today the crew sanded the rough spots, checked for low areas (and found none!), then applied the top coat. The top coat could take up to 48 hours to dry. But the good news is that Chris can return to his basement office on Monday morning! I don’t know who is more excited about that, him or me. ;o)
These pictures show the top coat. You might not be able to tell much of a difference. But the floors definitely look clear and shiny now!
We originally looked at a flake option that had more black in it. In the end, I’m glad we chose this neutral white and gray option. The dark flakes in the photo aren’t nearly that dark in person.
This is probably the last update you’ll get from us until late next week. The drywall, trim, and paint crew starts on Thursday!
