After 42 working days (if my math is correct), our bathroom and living room construction projects are done!
When I last left off on our updates, we were waiting for the sinks and countertop to be installed.
It’s gorgeous!
Here’s a tip for you. When you buy drawer pulls, make sure you check the product numbers to be sure they’re all the same. We ended up with two different sizes! Luckily the quantities turned out right that we had three of the larger size for the drawers and four of the smaller size for the cabinets.
All that was left in the bathroom was installing the faucets and the mirrors.
Next up was painting our bedroom walls. Bye-bye floral wallpaper border and sponge paint walls!
We love the new gray paint!
The final step was replacing the carpet in the living room, bedroom, and hallway. You can’t tell, but the hallway carpet is beige.
And the bedroom and living room carpet is gray.
We found a place to donate our bedroom furniture, so we have already gotten rid of it. Unfortunately, our new furniture won’t arrive until the end of August. Ugh. So we have laid out all of our clothes in piles on the floor, and we’re sleeping on our mattress placed on the floor. I’m so glad we didn’t donate the mattress too!
As you can tell, the kids love the new carpet.
Our spring construction projects are officially done! Now comes the hard part of organizing everything back into our living room and bathroom and adding some art to the walls. And I guess we’ll be waiting for a while for our new furniture!
