Over the past week, things have really moved along in the bathroom project. The tile and grout are finished, and we have the first two coats of paint!

When our tile guy came to scope out the project, he made a great suggestion that we never considered. He told us that it would be nice to break up the tile in the shower with a decorative glass mosaic. So we ran to the store and found a great mosaic that looks like it belongs right next to our shower tile.

It makes quite a statement! I’m so glad that he suggested this because I definitely like this better than having gray tile only.

The small tile is in the room with the sinks, and the larger tile is in the shower room.

Now, the grout! We really lucked out with our choice. It blends in nicely with the tile.

After the tile guy was done, our contractor returned to finish mudding the drywall and priming it for paint.

Then came the paint!

And another perfect match with the grout in the shower.

I have to admit I’m nervous about our wall color choice. The color looks different in these pictures because our lights are out of whack. They will improve when the electrician changes out the lights so they all match. Still, this blue is a bit more electric than I was hoping for! But Chris convinced me that it will look good when it all comes together.

Up next is another coat of paint, new ceiling lights, and towel racks on the walls. Our vanity is scheduled to arrive in about ten days. We’re hoping that really happens! Delivery dates haven’t been very accurate throughout this project. The countertop and sinks will be ready to go when the vanity is delivered. A different professional measured for the shower door a few days ago. Hopefully that won’t take too long either!
