Things are happening so quickly that it’s sometimes hard to keep up! So let’s see if I can keep everything in chronological order from the past three days.

Last Friday featured a lot of new drywall.

Our contractor installed all of the “regular” drywall in the shower room on Friday. Then on Monday, the tile guy installed the special drywall in the shower stall.

While the tile guy was busy in the shower room, the contractor removed the pocket door from the living room. This included removing some of the original wood paneling.

Here’s the pocket door in the entry way, waiting for its new home in the bathroom.

Finally, our contractor started to make a place for the new door in the bathroom.

Whew. That was a busy Monday. For our workers, not me! Tuesday brought more noise and dust but plenty of progress as well.

We expanded the living room entry as much as we could. And then our contractor installed drywall where the pocket door used to be.

Then it was time to install the pocket door in its new home.

Ta da! A new bathroom door. We love our pocket doors!

Meanwhile, the tile guy mudded the shower walls and started laying the floor tile. We have flooring!

You wouldn’t believe how difficult it was for us to find a floor tile we liked (and could afford!). We’re so happy with what we chose. About half of the shower room floor is laid.

And now the sink area is covered with drywall, minus that small part where the pocket door is.

I love seeing things move along!

Lots of progress in the master bathroom remodel
