I’m finally getting around to posting the pictures from our first spring project!
First up, it’s the before photos of our old front door.
This is what the area looked like for a good portion of the day. It was a bit chilly this day to have the breeze blowing through the house. Thank goodness all of the wildlife stayed outside!
And now for the new door!
We really love the look of the new door! We were nervous that we would lose some sunlight in the mornings since we no longer have a large window in the door, but that doesn’t seem to be the case! We still get enough sunlight through the top window and the sidelights to make us happy.
The new door is just slightly smaller than the old door, so our contractor added some wood to the outside to fill in the small gap. This means we’ll have to paint that filler wood to match the outside and repaint about a quarter of an inch on the inside around the trim as well. At least we can mark one project off the list!
