More than 700 days after the last NCAA men’s basketball championship game, we’re finally enjoying March Madness again! And it’s all right in our backyard. If only we could get tickets to a game!

Never in a million years would we expect that the National Chris Clark Holiday would be canceled, but we survived a basketball-less March last year. Now we’re ready to hand out the family trophy to this year’s bracket winner. Damon is convinced it will be him!

Avery filled in her own bracket this year. She finally listened Daddy’s advice about seeding and how to pick a game winner. She heeded his words right up until she chose Liberty to go to the Final Four. But she’s come a long way since choosing Saint Peter’s University as the winner in her first bracket ten years ago!

Damon knows a thing or two about basketball, so he didn’t need much help with his bracket. He thought Purdue would make it to the Final Four. Then Daddy asked him, “Do you want to win the trophy? Then don’t choose Purdue in the Final Four!” Damon agreed and adjusted his bracket accordingly.

Chris made several brackets this year, just for fun. But this is his official one.

I hemmed and hawed about my choices this year. I was tempted to choose more underdogs than usual because I feel like we’ll see more upset games this year. But in the end, I stuck with the tried and true teams. At least I hope I can rely on them.

As always, we’ll keep you updated on our family pool over the next several weeks. Good luck to everyone!
