Recently when Avery talked about turning five, she said she will be a whole hand. I didn’t think about it like that, but she was right!

Sweet Avery Joy,

Five years ago, God rocked our world when He introduced us to this bright-eyed beauty one early Saturday morning.

He asked us to love you, to care for you, to make you smile and to teach you about Him. But you ended up doing all of that for us, too.

You’ve helped us learn what it means to love someone unconditionally. You completely depend on us and trust us for everything. You’ve shown us God’s love, mercy and grace through your life.
And you’ve shown us our weaknesses, the places in our lives where God wants to grow and change us.
You’re such a spunky, energetic little girl! You love all things sports, thanks to Daddy. And you especially love playing sports with Daddy.
You are a crazy, mischievous, creative, sometimes hyper girl who certainly loves being the center of attention.
We love your smile and your giggles. You always brighten up a room with your presence and your personality.
We are so proud to be your parents. We love watching you grow, learn and change for the better. We already can see glimpses of what God is doing in your life. And we can’t wait to experience more of that with you. We love you with all of our hearts.
Happy birthday, AJ…Princess…Boogernut…Avery Bear!
Love, Mommy and Daddy
A whole hand
