The last hurrah

To celebrate the end of summer, we decided to spend Monday at one of Avery’s favorite places: The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

We visit the museum a lot, but she still loves going and seeing every exhibit. At the Health House, she can brush this dinosaur’s teeth…

…and practice her hula hooping.

She let me get in on the fun at the construction site.

This was something new: recreating the American Gothic painting. Avery had a hard time not smiling and looking sad.

Following the fun at the museum, we enjoyed a yummy pizza lunch. Then Daddy and Avery took a two-hour nap together. I guess the museum wore out both of them!
