Our first Christmas celebration was with Chris’ aunt and two uncles.
While we waited for the festivities to begin, Chris, Shin-ya, Avery and I played Jenga. Believe it or not, Avery was really good at it!
So was Shin-ya.
Then Chris, Shin-ya and I drove down the road to watch Poppaw perform a Christmas concert with The Voices of Franklin. They provided the musical entertainment at Mallow Run Winery.
I love this picture of Mike and Shin-ya.
After we got back to the house, it was time to open presents.
Caden didn’t like wearing this hat very much…
…but Chris did!
Caden was so loving toward everyone the entire time he was here. I was pretty impressed, considering all of us were strangers to him! He frequently crawled up on Chris’ lap and cuddled with him. It might have something to do with the fact that Chris looks so much like Caden’s daddy!
Avery got a new tea set (complete with chocolate cupcakes and a musical tea pot) from Uncle Ron, Aunt Judi and Uncle Charlie. Avery didn’t hesitate to set up a tea party right away. And she had to invite Aunt Judi to attend.
Chris got in on the fun, too. I’m not sure he ever pictured himself playing tea party with a daughter, but he’s very good at it.
Avery also got this beautiful snow princess outfit to add to her costume collection. That girl loves playing dress-up!
