Since finding out Elvie and Shin-ya would be visiting, I have been trying to figure out how to introduce Casey’s family to the game we all love in the Hoosier Heartland. Shin-ya and Elvie got to enjoy (OK, get freaked out by) a house full of Clarks during the Butler and Florida Regional Final. That evening, Aunt Judi said Graham (who is living with Ron and Judi) might be able to get us tickets to one of the remaining Pacers’ games. Of course, that proved to be a perfect opportunity for Shin-ya to see a live basketball game in Indiana.
Boy did Aunt Judi and Uncle Ron, via Graham, ever come through!!! We landed center court, second row seats! These were once in a lifetime seats. Below are amazing pictures from our evening. Shin-ya scored a Pacers’ T-shirt courtesy of his favorite uncle and a bobblehead of Paul George from Graham. The one-point Pacer win was great, but I think Shin-ya enjoyed the snowcone the size of his head the most.
I think Shin-ya approved of the seats….Grandpa, too!

Earl Boykins is 5’5″ and has been in the NBA for 13 years. Yes, he is one of my favorites because he excels, even at a height disadvantage.
Thanks to Uncle Ron for taking the post-game picture.
Of course I have to include a picture of the NBA’s first dance team…the Pacemates.
Ready for tip-off.
The lead referee was Bob Donato…..a former undercover FBI Federal Agent.
