My first Mother’s Day

Yesterday was such a special day since it was my first Mother’s Day as a mother.

Chris and Avery surprised me with a beautiful heart-shaped amethyst pendant, which is Avery’s birthstone. I recently was thinking that I wanted a piece of jewelry with Avery’s birthstone, and I guess Chris was thinking the same thing!

We spent part of the day with my parents and sister and part of the day with Chris’ parents. Avery was cranky on and off all day. But whenever she was in a good mood, we all were trying to get her to laugh again. Unfortunately, we didn’t succeed. But we got to see plenty of smiles and hear a lot of goos and coos!
